Lesson for today...

Writing a summary


1.       SBOA -  oral assessment.
2.       Set Induction
3.       Explanation of
i.                     the use of connectors in writing a summary.
ii.                   Techniques to paraphrase – word substitution, shortening sentences etc
iii.                  Following the rubric – Reading the questions carefully and following all the instructions.
4.       Students write the summary
5.       Discussion of answers / content points


Students should be able
a. Find information on a famous personality
       b. Write a description of the famous personalities 


                1.       SBOA -  oral assessment.
2.       Set Induction – ask students personalities that they like.
3.       Students are to obtain specific information by reading an internet article about an outstanding Malaysian/personalities. They will write about his background, physical appearance, personality and achievements. As conclusion , they have to express their hopes.
4.       They are to write the information gathered in the form of a brochure.(Using Microsoft Publisher)
5.       Group presentation.
